Hi! I’m Kerri, a licensed clinical social worker based in Denver, Colorado. My approach to therapy is rooted in the understanding that our experiences are interconnected between the body, mind, and spirit. I believe that this holistic perspective is key to achieving lasting positive change.
My personalized treatment approach is tailored to meet the unique needs of each of my clients. Together, we will work to enhance your understanding of yourself and support you in creating meaningful changes in your life.
I received my Masters in Clinical Social Work from the University of Denver, where I specialized in trauma therapy and mindfulness for teenagers and adults. Since starting my career in 2009, I've had the privilege of working with active duty military members, veterans, and families overseas in Europe. Over the years, I've gained extensive experience working with both teens and adults in a range of treatment settings, including emergency departments, inpatient hospitals, and outpatient behavioral health clinics.
My areas of expertise lie in supporting individuals with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, and identity conflicts using evidence and mindfulness-based techniques. I specialize in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and mindfulness as primary modalities for treating trauma-related disorders that can lead to fear of rejection, failure, and abandonment.
In addition to trauma-focused modalities, I also specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to address mood disorders and relationship challenges. Through these approaches, I aim to help clients enhance their self-esteem and develop stronger communication skills with themselves and others.
For further information on EMDR, CBT, DBT, and mindfulness, I've included links on the FAQ page. My goal is to ensure that clients feel empowered and informed throughout the therapeutic process.
I prioritize building genuine connections with my clients, as I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is key to success. I strive to create a safe, comfortable environment where you feel empowered to express yourself and work towards your goals.
I am excited to work with you on your journey towards healing and self-growth. Together, we can explore your unique experiences and work towards creating a more fulfilling life.
